NHL Rumour Report: Hart, DeBrincat, Saros, DeAngelo contenders surface + more

The trade floodgates are on the brink of bursting open as the NHL offseason begins.

- New Flyers GM Daniel Briere continues to gauge the market on his stars, with goaltender Carter Hart garnering plenty of interest. A bevy of teams have been linked to Hart so far, many of them in the Atlantic Division: the Canadiens, Maple Leafs, Sabres, Senators, as well as the Sharks and Kings out West. While talks remain ongoing, there is a chance this lingers until closer to the draft at the end of June if not beyond.

- The Flyers appear more focussed on moving their other big pieces, namely Kevin Hayes and Tony DeAngelo. The latter was a healthy scratch for stretches under new bench boss John Tortorella and is likely welcome to a change of scenery. Hayes has generated some interest from teams like the Blue Jackets and Bruins, but the Flyers will likely have to either give him away or sweeten the deal to make it work.

- The trade market for Alex DeBrincat continues to build, and the first few contenders have finally surfaced. The Red Wings, Stars, Golden Knights, Panthers, Predators and Blues are among the teams expected to be in the bidding, while the Hurricanes have kicked tires as well.

- The somewhat puzzling Juuse Saros rumours have resurfaced once again. It's believed the Predators listened to offers on their franchise netminder at the trade deadline, but ultimately held on for the playoff push. It's believed teams have approached new GM Barry Trotz about Saros once again these past few weeks, and haven't been completely rebuffed. One team to watch on this front are the Kings.

- The goalie trade and free agent game of musical chairs is expected to be particularly intense this offseason. In addition to Hart and Saros, names like Connor Hellebuyck, John Gibson,  Elvis Merzlikins, Karel Vejmelka, Jordan Binnington, Jack Campbell and one of Jacob Markstrom and Dan Vladar continue to float out there. Tristan Jarry and Frederik Andersen will likely head to market.
