The Provorov rumour mill is heating up again after months of speculation.
- Quiet but growing rumblings suggest a major blueline shakeup is in store for the Flyers, who look more and more like a pivotal seller at this year's trade deadline.
- Rumours have swirled around many of the Flyers defensive core, including Justin Braun and Travis Sanheim. But a much bigger name is now being bandied about: Ivan Provorov.
- Talk of a potential trade surfaced months ago, but talks didn't appear to gain traction. Reports at the time suggested teams were told the preference was to keep the young cornerstone.
- That mood appears to have shifted in recent weeks with reports suggesting the Flyers are unsure about their long term commitment to Provorov and vice versa. Provorov has seen his game slip in recent years but still holds the upside of a young top pairing blueliner.

- The Blues and Golden Knights are among the first teams to be linked to Provorov, but many more teams are likely to surface in the coming weeks. This could end up being an offseason deal, though the timing of these rumblings is interesting.
- Rumours in recent weeks have suggested the Blues are looking to move out salary to make a big move. They've already been linked to Claude Giroux, Jakob Chychrun, Ben Chiarot and now Provorov. Reports suggest Marco Scandella could be swapped out to make space. I'll be curious to see which way they go.
