NHL Rumour Report: Latest league-wide rumblings

The NHL rumour mill is kicking into high gear.

- Lots of rumour tidbits floating around with just days to go before the final horn sounds on this NHL trade deadline season.

- Ivan Provorov's name is still out there. I don't know why the Flyers do that now as opposed to opening up a bidding war in the offseason, but the Blues and Golden Knights have been linked.

- Still quiet on the Filip Forsberg front. No contract extension, not a ton of fresh trade rumours. We'll see if that changes in the coming days.

- Same goes for Senators forward Nick Paul. There's expected to be plenty of trade interest if a deal can't get done quickly here.

- Trade talks seem to have cooled off in Vancouver as their playoff hopes improve. With Canadian markets taking a beating in lost revenue from ticket sales, there's a big incentive to sell tickets and try to bag some playoff revenue.

- Montreal and Arizona are considered frontrunners for Wild prospect Jack McBain.

- Vancouver and Montreal have been linked to Devils forward Pavel Zacha.

- I'm not sure how many people think Phil Kessel is going to get traded, but the Rangers have kicked tires on the Coyotes forward. That said, the Rangers have looked at a LOT of wingers in the past week and I doubt Kessel is anything but a fallback option.

- Islanders banger forward Cal Clutterbuck is starting to generate some rumour buzz. Lots of teams, including the Leafs and Avalanche, who would like to add him.
