NHL Rumour Report: Domi trade talks ramp up; two rumoured destinations

Pending UFA forward Max Domi's name is rising fast up NHL trade bait boards as we get closer to March 21st.

- The Blue Jackets find themselves outside of the playoff picture and could be among their busier teams in the coming weeks.

- Rumblings around forward Max Domi have begun to gain momentum as the NHL trade deadline fast approaches.

- The 26 year old pending UFA's $5.3 million cap hit may be a little rich for some teams, but he plays a playoff brand of hockey many GMs seek out.

- Reports suggest the Leafs and Rangers are among the teams being linked to Domi in trade talks. This would certainly pique the interest of Leafs fans who fondly remember father Tie Domi's time in Toronto. Funnily enough, he played for the Rangers briefly as well.

- Both the Leafs and Rangers have scoured the market for top 6 forwards, so Domi's name is just one of the many the two teams have kicked tires on. Both teams have checked in on JT Miller and Claude Giroux, as well as defensemen Jakob Chychrun and Ben Chiarot

- Obviously there's only so much cap space out there right now, but these two teams seem to be in the thick of most rumours. It feels like a big name or two is going to land in their laps when the music stops on deadline day.
