NHL Rumour Report: Ducks shopping Hampus Lindholm, 4 teams rumoured

The two way defender has gone from possible to likely trade candidate at this year's deadline.

- With extension talks stalling, Anaheim has begun to look at what pending UFA defensemen Hampus Lindholm might fetch on the trade deadline market.

- Several teams are high on the well rounded defensemen, who new GM Pat Verbeek has spent the past few weeks trying to extend.

- Talks have apparently fallen apart in the past few days, and rumblings suggest Lindholm could be one of several Ducks sent out the door before March 21st. With the Ducks slowly sliding out of the playoff picture and a rebuild still in progress, Anaheim figures to be busy in the days ahead.

- Among the teams believed to be interested in Lindholm are the Panthers, Bruins, Maple Leafs and Oilers. The Panthers were believed to be a heavy frontrunner for Jakob Chychrun, but with an injury that could keep him out for a month or more, Lindholm has shot up their list.

-The Maple Leafs are also believed to heavily invested in acquiring Lindholm, likely offering up a package that includes a first round draft pick and prospect.

- There's still hope in Anaheim that an extension can be hammered out with Lindholm's camp, but optimism has dwindled significantly in the past week. With Jakob Chychrun injured and John Klingberg likely pulled off the market, Lindholm could be a very hot commodity this week.
