The final instalment of our 31 team rumour roundup. Don't forget to check out parts one and two as well.
- June 16th note - Jonathan Drouin has been traded, and by the team you read this more trades have probably happened. Keep that in mind as you read the time sensitive information below.
- Philadelphia Flyers - Matt Read and Andrew MacDonald are apparently available. On the lookout for starting goaltending through both via trade and free agency. Door not completely such on a Steve Mason return.
- Pittsburgh Penguins - May lose Marc-Andre Fleury to the Vegas expansion draft, but will hope to get back an asset from a team like Calgary beforehand. A darkhorse in the sweepstakes for Matt Duchene, Gabriel Landeskog and Kevin Shattenkirk this offseason. May see prospect defenseman Derrick Pouliot as a moveable asset at this point.
- San Jose Sharks - Lurking in the weeds in the Kovalchuk sweeps. If Thornton and Marleau hit free agency, that's a lot of cap space to pursue the top names out there. Bruins forward Ryan Spooner is a possible trade target.
- St Louis Blues - Seen as one of the teams most interested in Jordan Eberle. Pushed hard for Jonathan Drouin last season; will they revisit those talks? Vladimir Sobotka and Dmitrij Jaskin are rumoured to be available.
- Tampa Bay Lightning - Teams continue to call on Jonathan Drouin (UPDATE: Drouin has been traded to the Canadiens), Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Alex Killorn. In constant pursuit of defensive upgrades, the Lightning will hope to acquire one of Sami Vatanen, Jonas Brodin or Travis Hamonic.
- Toronto Maple Leafs - Looking at the defensemen market, but unlikely to be a frontrunner for top names like Vatanen, Tanev, Hamonic or Brodin. James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak could be available, but any trade likely has to wait until later in the summer. Have been linked to Riley Sheahan in trade rumours.
- Vancouver Canucks - Chris Tanev is getting a lot of attention from around the league, despite the Canucks' reluctance to trade him. May be in on Ryan Spooner and Tyson Barrie in trade rumours. The Evander Kane to Vancouver rumours seem to have all but died off.
- Vegas Golden Knights - Names that have been linked to Vegas in recent days: UFA Evgeny Dadonov, 'retired' winger Ilya Kovalchuk, goaltenders Philipp Grubauer, Petr Mrazek and Antti Raanta, forwards Alex Radulov, Ryan Spooner, David Clarkson, Marcus Kruger and Bobby Ryan, and defensemen Trevor van Riemsdyk, Fredrik Claesson and Chris Wideman.
- Washington Capitals - Looking to trade Alex Ovechkin, of course! Nah, the Caps probably aren't going to do anything that drastic despite clamouring for change. Philipp Grubauer is likely headed to Vegas in the expansion draft, and Karl Alzner and Justin Williams are off to free agency. TJ Oshie likely re-signs. Rumours have linked them to Tyler Bozak in the past.
- Winnipeg Jets - Teams, including Detroit and Boston, are patiently waiting to see if the Jets finally entertain offers on defenseman Jacob Trouba. The search for a 1A or 1B to share the crease with Connor Hellebuyck continues - names such as Brian Elliott, Steve Mason and Marc-Andre Fleury have surfaced as possibilities.
