Rumour Report: Perry, Anisimov, #3 pick has bidders + more

Big names continue to be added to the rumour mill as we get closer to the June 17th expansion draft deadline.

  • Rumours continue to surface suggesting the Ducks may consider moving veteran winger Corey Perry this summer. The 32 year old is due $8.6 million for the next four years, and the Ducks are facing a bit of a cap crunch. The interest is sure to be strong if he is indeed made available, but his massive cap hit may be difficult for some teams to take on.
  • A report suggests the Blackhawks may look to move centerman Artem Anisimov this summer. The annual roster rollover in Chicago continues. Rumours suggest Marcus Kruger could also be made available and the odd rumour has pointed to Marian Hossa as an option to free up space.

  • A little more on the rumour suggesting the Stars may look to move the #3 overall pick...sounds like the Wild and Ducks are two teams who might be a match. With just over a month to go before the draft, expect the rumour mill to pick up in a hurry.
  • Quiet rumblings in Washington suggest not all is well between first rounder Jakub Vrana and the Capitals organization. Could a trade be in the works this offseason?
