Teams asking on the Sedins

Daniel and Henrik Sedin are drawing plenty of interest from around the NHL, but perhaps the surprising bit is that at least two teams have said they're willing to take on their contracts with no salary retained. The Sedin Twins, both aged 36, are under contract this season and next at $7 million dollars apiece.

It's no secret that the Sedins have strong roots in Vancouver and may wish to simply play out their careers there. But if things don't turn around fast, they may want another crack at the ultimate prize.

It wouldn't be unprecedented for iconic players of this calibre to finally chase a Stanley Cup with a different team - think Mats Sundin, Daniel Alfredsson and Ray Bourque.

Are the Sedins heading down that path? There won't be any shortage of suitors if that day comes this deadline or the next.
