Flyers enter Vesey sweepstakes; rumoured contenders emerge

If Jimmy Vesey makes it to August 15th, the Flyers are a team that will come knocking on his agent's door.

According to one Flyers beat writer:

The Buffalo Sabres are the current holder of Vesey's negotiating rights, having acquired them in an attempt to do what the Predators couldn't do for years: get him to commit.

Among the other teams rumoured to interested in Vesey are the Penguins, Maple Leafs, Predators and Bruins.

Realistically, if Vesey does indeed explore the free agent market, the lineup of interested teams should be 30 (or is it 31?) long.
