On the Move? Marleau, Yandle, Hamhuis + lots of other big names that could be dealt

Marleau Yandle swap?

Is there something brewing between the Rangers and Sharks? Some have linked defenseman Keith Yandle and winger Patrick Marleau in trade speculation.

The Rangers have been keeping tabs on the Sharks, sending a stream of scouts to watch their games in recent weeks. We also know that when Marleau went to Sharks management to ask for a trade, he named the Rangers one of his three preferred destinations. Likewise, the Rangers know full well that Yandle will walk to unrestricted free agency this summer and have been looking to deal him for a while.

Dan Hamhuis

Rumours out of Pittsburgh have the Penguins showing interest in pending UFA defenseman Dan Hamhuis. Talks between Hamhuis and the Canucks seem to have gone nowhere, meaning the veteran blueliner could be dealt in advance of the February 29th trade deadline.

Kevin Shattenkirk

Things have cooled off. The Lightning likely wouldn't accept Shattenkirk in a Drouin deal given his need for an extension in the summer and expected contractual demands. The Flyers, Oilers and Blue Jackets have kicked tires.

Dion Phaneuf

Relatively quiet here, but the Stars and Sharks have explored the possibility of adding Phaneuf at various points. The Kings had interest before, but likely don't now given their cap situation. The Leafs don't seem to be in a rush to move the captain, meaning a deal isn't likely at least until the offseason.

Tyler Ennis

Provided he's healthy, a lot of the teams looking at Drouin will take a shot at Ennis at the deadline (or summer).

Kyle Okposo

It's well known that the Isles are prepared to let Kyle Okposo walk this offseason. Right now it sounds like they're hold onto Okposo and use him for the stretch run and playoffs much like a rental.

Rumour Board

Keep an eye on the Rumour Board as the deadline approaches. It needs a bit of a revamp, but a lot of NHL rumours are easy to see at a glance from there. It's best viewed on a desktop or tablet.
