Flurry of Leafs moves coming?

The rumour mill never rests in Toronto, but it would appear that a few moves are coming in the near future.

The Leafs have placed goalie Jhonas Enroth on waivers and may be on the hunt for backup help. They can either turn to their AHL goalies Antoine Bibeau, Garrett Sparks, Jeff Glass (and now Kari Ramo), or could sign or trade for a guy.

The Leafs might not be the greatest team in the league, but they do have a surplus of borderline NHL players at the bottom of their roster. Defenseman Frankie Corrado and centerman Peter Holland have struggled to crack the roster and are being dangled in the trade market.

On a grander scale, rumours point to winger James van Riemsdyk as a player who could get moved at some point this season. With wingers Kasperi Kapanen and Brendan Leipsic champing at the bit in the AHL, the team is looking to cash in on van Riemsdyk's value while it's at its peak.

On the longshot rumour front, it's believed the thought of trading William Nylander seems to have crossed the organization's mind in the summer. It'd have to be one heck of a blockbuster to pull that one off. Some have speculated that a trade with the Flames for Dougie Hamilton might be a fit, but this has been shot down pretty vigorously by the Flames.

Leafland is rumourland 365 days a year, but it does seem that something has to give.

And that's to say nothing of the many more moves they could make at the trade deadline if they fall out of the playoff race.
